If there is a prize for weirdest, most random fanart ever, I think this might be in the top 10.

It's... sort of... more inspired by multiple things than a strict fanart, so I kinda waffled on putting it in this category. I might change it later, especially 'cause I kinda want to put this into print form.

So, the story of this: it all started when D told me to download "Gitans", a Cirque du Soleil song. I fell in love, and agreed with her that it reminded us of Tumnus and Mirrormask and Italy and all sorts of pretty things.
This sketch happened while the song was playing on repeat, and whil D & I were having that conversation. So... that may be Tumnus. It might just be a costume. I don't actually know. I don't know much about what's happening at all, really. All I know is that this thing is HUGE. My working size was 100%, and the original image is 2400 by 3000 pixels. X_x;;; This is the 25% size. I'll have a link to the 50% version up soon.

I might shade this, I might not. I might ink it, I might not. I kinda like it how it is, so I may just leave it be. We'll see. :)

All done in Photoshop 7.

^_^ Oh My Goodness! I Really love this. :+fav:
For a second, I thought you were taking inspiration from "Phantom of the Opera". (It was all my friends ever talked about in 9th grade x_x ho hum) The way his eyeholes are shaded in makes him look... evil. Especially with that grin of his. Nasty. :P

Mirrormask > Phantom of the Opera. XD *ducks bricks from fangirls* Okay, so I love both movies, but seriously. Valentine for the win, plzkthx.

Mmm, ambiguity. X) I have always had a fondness for characters whose morals are sort of in a grey area...

I'm glad you do! Thanks for the +fav on it!

Thank you, I'm glad.

Anti-heroes are very refreshing. Can't think of one at the moment-- perhaps Riku, but that's because my pathetic mind can only wrap itself around one videogame at a time 9_9

Like... all of my favorites are anti-heroes and/or grey areas, at least at one point: Jack Sparrow, Faramir, Lupin, Atrus, Bartimaeus, Tumnus (and that's just by listing off one of my bookshelves)... dude, even freakin' Kovu from when I was little. (DID YOU KNOW DEMYX WAS LITTLE KOVU? When I learned that, it MADE MY DAY. so PERFECT.)

Dude... that IS pathetic. Seriously, I'm into like... 3 games right now. Rise of Legends, KH2, and The Legend of Jack Sparrow (starting today! Oh man it is so much like the Return of the King game and it ROCKS.)

Wow. I'm going onto a million tangents tonight, aren't I?
